The day's events will begin with the traditional ceremony at 10:00 in Memorial Plaza to honor our fallen heroes. The parade will then process down East Broad Street and turn left on North Euclid, ending in Mindowaskin Park.
The Westfield Police Department will then escort all participating veterans to Fairview Cemetery for the annual solemn service held there.
Following the parade, all members of the public are invited for a gathering in Mindowaskin Park, and the American Legion will also host its annual barbecue with music and entertainment.
Get ready, New Jersey! The NJ Army National Guard is about to hit the road for an unforgettable tour, visiting 26 high schools in 13 counties to spotlight athletes selected for the game. From the bustling streets of Hackensack to the shores of Cape May and everywhere in between, the 26 athletes selected for this prestigious game represent the heart of New Jersey’s high school football talent. These players hail from a variety of schools and regions, showcasing the diverse football culture of the Garden State. Each of them has proven themselves on the field, and now they will face off in an event that will be talked about for years to come.
Among them are some of the top athletes New Jersey has to offer, all of whom have demonstrated the qualities of leadership, resilience, and sportsmanship. Whether it's a standout quarterback from Bergen County or a powerful linebacker from Camden, these players have earned their spot, and their journey is only just beginning. This is more than just a tour; it’s a chance for athletes to be recognized for their extraordinary skills and determination. The NJ Army National Guard’s visit could be your big moment!

As we approach a momentous milestone in our community’s history, we are excited to announce the 150th Anniversary of the Westfield Fire Department, established in 1875. This significant anniversary not only marks a century and a half of dedicated service and commitment to the safety and well-being of our beloved town but also provides an opportunity to celebrate the legacy and spirit of the Westfield Fire Department.
To commemorate this historic event, we are planning a grand 150th Anniversary Celebration in June of 2025. The celebration will kick off with a parade through downtown Westfield, showcasing our fire trucks, vintage apparatus, and community groups. The parade will conclude at the Westfield Armory on Rahway Avenue, where a day full of fun and festivities awaits. Attendees can look forward to games, food, drinks, and raffles, creating an enjoyable and memorable experience for all.
Cranford will hold the annual Fourth of July Fireworks Display on July 2 (rain date July 7) in Nomahegan Park. Mark your calendar with your family and friends to celebrate our nation's independence.
Hosted by the Police Dept., National Night Out (NNO) is an annual community-building campaign, held on the first Tuesday in August, that promotes police-community partnerships and neighborhood camaraderie to make our neighborhoods safer, more caring places to live.
National Night Out enhances the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of community. Furthermore, it provides a great opportunity to bring police and neighbors together under positive circumstances.

Get ready for the the family-friendly Street Fest that is going fall-tastic with a pumpkin-picking patch, harvest-inspired photo stations, and a beer garden. Booths from more than 100 artisans and Cranford businesses will line the streets of downtown. Plus, there will be loads of entertainment for the kids. Live music will be playing in the gazebo parking lot on North Union Ave and Alden Street, which will be filled with fabulous food trucks .
The Annual Bergen Town Center Fall Festival is November 2nd! This family friendly event features food trucks, a beer garden, NFL Red Zone on the big screen, and family entertainment. including:

Union Township will come alive this December with the fantastic Winter Wonderland & Holiday village with inflatables. fire pit, Santa’s workshop , games, live entertainment and lots of fabulous food trucks.

The Nerds, New Jersey based rock and roll cover band, are set to headline the third annual 'Rock the Foundation' fundraiser for The Foundation of Sustainable Veteran Housing (FSVH) and the Westfield American Legion Housing Project.
This benefit concert promises to be a night of exceptional entertainment and community support, featuring special guest Better Late and opening act Kobi Reese, ensuring a lineup of outstanding live music. The fundraiser aims to raise $100,000, with all proceeds dedicated to rebuilding the Legion Hall and creating 22 housing units for homeless and at-risk veterans.
Tickets from September 7, 2024 will be honored on the new date of May 3, 2025.
Experience the spirit of the Celtic nations distilled into a single day at the Union County Celtic Festival. The family friendly festival includes live music and entertainment, a children's area, cultural activities, piping and drumming contests, craft vendors, dancing, and a beer garden. Food and drinks are available for purchase.

Join the Westfield Police Department on Saturday, April 12th for the Annual Easter Egg Hunt, featuring the Westfield Fire Department, Volunteer Rescue Squad, Recreation Department, and Department of Public Works. The fun will include activities, a DJ, food, balloons, face painting, and of course the Easter Bunny. Bring your baskets!
Parade Day activities begin with a 9:00am Thornstick Mass at Immaculate Heart of Mary & St. Patrick followed by our Grandstand Program at Noon in Union Center.
Parade steps off at 1:00pm from the intersection of Morris & Jeanette Avenues!

Get ready to stroll through a kaleidoscope of crafts, flavors, and rhythms, where every corner holds a new adventure. This is a street-fair style event featuring 100+ artisans and Cranford Businesses along North Union Ave and Alden St.
Admission is free, family friendly, and open to the public.
A fall festival event at St. John The Apostle Church in Linden NJ. The event will feature several fabulous food trucks as well as family entertainment and a wine & beer garden.
The event will take place at 1805, Penbrooke Terrace, Linden, NJ from 1pm to 5pm and admission will cost $5.
The CVG Annual Music Fest is back! This event is fun for the whole family complete with Live Music, Food Trucks and a Tricky Tray! Admission is Free but proceeds from the Tricky Tray go toward the Centennial Village Group. The CVG is a group of volunteers, dedicated to the revitalization and enhancement of Centennial Avenue.
